When you need expert answers to your swine-related questions, help is just a click away at the U.S. Pork Center of Excellence’s upgraded Pork Information Gateway (PIG).
The Pork Checkoff-supported site, which now supports Mozilla Firefox and Safari Internet browsers, was recently revamped for improved usability. The newest feature is the PIG Library, which provides questions and answers, factsheets and references about pork production. In addition, the site’s search engine has been improved to mirror the capabilities of powerful, user-friendly search engines like Google.

If you are a pork producer, chances are you know a lot about efficiency and how to make good business decisions. But anymore, factors off the farm may have more to do with your profitability than the daily management decisions you make. That’s where the pork producer’s association fits in. MPPA represents all of the state’s pork producers collectively with one strong voice in Lansing and nationally through the National Pork Producers Council.
The Pork Checkoff’s Quick Facts online resource provides a snapshot of the pork industry through statistics and infographics, which can be downloaded and used by media, educators, states, students, consumers and others. You can check it out at pork.org/quickfacts.
The Pork Checkoff Digital Asset Library provides hundreds of resources for your use. Find farm photos and videos, food photos and videos, posters, brochures, fact sheets and more. These are free for use in print or online with attribution to the National Pork Board.
